Hagen Renaker Stickers and other Markings
This page is meant to show the wide variety of stickers and markings that Hagen Renaker used. Hopefully it will give you a general guideline of when specific stickers or marks were used. This will help you date when your pieces were made. Also, it is pretty common to find 2 stickers on one piece, or to find the wrong name sticker on a piece. Some people feel stickers are unimportant, but I think they are very important and tell us a lot. Unfortunately, some people will remove a sticker from one piece and put it on another, which causes confusion. Hagen Renaker discontinued all stickers in 2007 in a cost cutting measure.

Hagen Renakers Other Markings
In addition to stickers, some molds have painted, etched, raised, impressed or ink stamped markings. These markings can vary from HR to Copyright Symbols to initials, names or numbers.
Hagen Renaker Painted Markings, Artist Marks and Signatures
The first marks used by Hagen Renaker were hand painted onto the backs of dishes and decorative pieces. Also, artists signed or initialed many pieces, sometimes with paint or by carving them into a piece. I will add a few more pictures periodically, but there are so many variations, I could never picture them all. I would love help in identifying individual artist marks. Some of the limited edition pieces are also signed or numbered

Hagen Renakers Cards
Of course most people are familiar with all the HR minis that came glued on cards. These are the easiest to identify, because the card usually gives you a good idea of when a piece was made, Monrovia or San Dimas, plus many are priced so if the price is low, it's an older piece. I must warn you though. The cards with dates are misleading. The date is when the card was made, not when the piece was made. Hagen Renaker ordered these cards in huge numbers and they lasted 5 years or more. A piece dated 1981 could have been made in 1985. Hagen Renaker also marketed minis as sets in the early 60's and again in 1978. Usually 2 or 3 minis on a card in a plastic box. I love these little sets, plus some of them are quite rare. Cards with sayings also came with Zany Zoo pieces and Little Horribles. The pieces weren't glued to these cars though.
