Hagen Renaker Bisque Pieces
In January 2010 I spent a couple of weeks in Monrovia California. I looked at lots of HRs and bought a huge collection. I went on a tour of the Hagen Renaker factory. It was a wonderful experience and it was very educational. Sue Nikas was the perfect hostess. She was very informative, likeable and entertaining. She cooked dinner for my wife and I, and she sang for us. She is a wonderful folk singer and everyone should buy her CDs.
I saw lots of bisque pieces from the Archives. Many of the pieces were unusual items, that I had never seen before. Some I recognized as Hagen Renaker and others were made by various artists or potters who worked at the Hagen Renaker factory. I'm sorry for the quality of the pictures. I only had one chance to take these pictures. At home, I take them repeatly until I get one I like. Please remember, I don't own any of the pieces pictured on the next few pages.
